As women, we tend not to see our value. We give so much to others while not expecting much in return. Why is that? Where do we get the idea we are not worthy of more? If I knew the answer, I would be shouting it from the rooftops. To be honest, I haven’t a clue. I am the poster child for giving everything and never expecting anything in return. I am still not sure why that is, but this year I plan to find out why.
This is the year I put myself FIRST!
Here are some women who know their worth and aren’t afraid to let us know about it.
“The question isn’t who is going to let me; it’s who is going to stop me.”
– Ayn Rand –
“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.”
– Eleanor Roosevelt –
“I love to see a young girl go out and grab the world by the lapels. Life’s a bitch. You’ve got to go out and kick ass.”
– Maya Angelou –
“A woman with a voice is, by definition, a strong woman.”
“We need to reshape our own perception of how we view ourselves. We have to step up as women and take the lead.”
“Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of somebody else.”
“Don’t compromise yourself. You are all you’ve got. There is no yesterday, no tomorrow; it’s all the same day.”
“The most courageous act is still to think for yourself. Aloud.”
“Figure out who you are separate from your family, and the man or woman you’re in a relationship with. Find who you are in this world and what you need to feel good alone. I think that’s the most important thing in life. Find a sense of self because with that; you can do anything else.”
“If you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun.”
This is your year; now go out and GRAB IT!
Here’s one more just in case the first ten weren’t enough to sell you on your worth:) One of my personal favorites.
“Nothing has transformed my life more than realizing that it’s a waste of time to evaluate my worthiness by weighing the reaction of the people in the stands.”
My 2017 theme song!
