  1. Money is the true root of all evil. Has ruined so many relationships. Don’t ever loan family money and expect to be paid back.

  10. This is good stuff! While we aren’t really under financial stress, we are good at talking about our bills and what needs to be paid off and are moving more and more toward a minimalistic style of living where we don’t buy things we need, I can see why money is always an issue for many. I mean you need money to live, so it can be hard to agree on what to spend that on. Debt is stressful.

  12. Sometimes I wonder if couples should all have a financial counseling before marriage. It really helps to be on the same page and, if not, then to seperate your finances.

  24. I’ve heard that money arguments are often key factors when couples break-up. The older I get, the more I realize what a stressful topic money can be. Luckily though, my husband and I rarely argue about money. Part of that, I think, is that we keep our money somewhat separate so the we don’t involve each other in the little, daily incidental expenses. The second is that we agree on the big stuff, which I think is most important.

  29. Money plays a big factor in a relationship. Many couples often argue because of money. It is a wise thing to find ways for it not to be a problem. My partner and I meet halfway when it comes to spending money and so far, we don’t have any problem with that.
