If you’re a busy family or single, and you just don’t have time to cook, and your waistline can’t handle another drive-thru meal.  Then it’s time you try latest time-saving meal delivery service Home Chef.  Since 2013 Home Chef has been sending out weekly meals to individuals, who want great ingredients, no waste and wholesome meals cooked in under 30-minutes.  Now, I have to admit I was not sold on this idea what so ever; I thought it was too expensive and I wasn’t that busy.  Well, I was wrong on both accounts!  As our business grows my time is less, and the meals were very affordable. I mean come on how many times I am going to use that $17 bottle of Fish Sauce I bought for my latest Asian-inspired stir-fry. (page down and click the Home Chef image to save $30 on your first order)

An additional bonus was that the meals came with detailed recipe cards making preparation so simple Sophia( our 12-year-old daughter) made all three meals. NOW that is a time saver, as well as a fabulous way, get your kids excited about cooking.

Here’s how it work’s:

Each week, you can choose from up to 15 different meal options. Choices include vegetarian, soy-free, nut-free, low carb and gluten free menus. You can try dishes out that you may not have otherwise tried.

You can alter the number of meals you get each week; if you are going to be away, you can skip a week.  Each meal is $9.95 per serving unless otherwise noted.

Your meals are shipped once a week on a day that you specify. You do not have to be home to sign for the meals; they are left at the door and packed in dry ice ensuring they will be still chilled when you arrive home from work.

Our Meal Selections:

Week One:

Cider Beurre Blanc Pork Tenderloin with Parmesan-roasted carrots and Brussel sprouts

Sirloin Steak with Blue Cheese Compound Butter with green beans and roasted fingerling potatoes.

Korean Pork Noodle Bowl and green beans, green onions, and Fresno chile

OK, we didn’t go for the low-cal menu, but WOW each of these meals was out of sight and perfectly prepared by Sophia.

If you’re on the fence and aren’t sure home delivery meals are worth the cost, I encourage you to try Home Chef, and by clickng, the image below you will save $30 on your first delivery. Making your first 3 meals only $29.95!

  1. Ooh good to know. So many of these different companies are cropping up. It’s good to know that they’re actually worth the money. How do you think they would be for kids?
