The Sacral Chakra is the second chakra and is known to be the center of pleasure, happiness, and creativity.  It is located at the lower abdomen; it represents the very center of “You.”It originates from the Sanskrit word “Svadhishthana,” which translates as “the dwelling place within.” It is represented by the color orange, which stands for determination, enthusiasm, and encouragement. An individual with a balanced sacral chakra radiates good health and is exceptionally comfortable speaking about their emotions. The sacral chakra is a sensory chakra, and because of that, it must be balanced so we can continue to move forward.

Symptoms of an unbalanced sacral chakra can be but are not limited to: 

  • you lack confidence
  • low libido
  • you may have dependency issues
  • you have unhealthy relationships
  • lower back pain
  • constipation
  • kidney issues

If your sacral chakra is blocked here are few simple steps to clearing it. 

Diffusing and or applying Ylang Ylang, Bergamot or Sandalwood Essential Oil

Grab a few crystals( I like to keep one in my pocket or in my bra totally inspired by my dear friend Sheila). Here are a few that can help balance the sacral chakra.

  • Carnelian
  • Goldstone
  • Tiger’s Eye
  • Sunshine Stone.

Eat Foods that balance the sacral chakra like

  • carrots
  • mangos
  • oranges
  • peaches
  • apricots

& sweet potatoes. See the theme? Anything orange:)

Now, there are several others ways to clear the sacral chakra, but I like to keep it simple. If you’re unclear whether your sacral chakra is blocked ask yourself these questions:

Do you lack in creativity?

Are you struggling with feeling pleasure during sex?

Do you even want to have sex?

Are you lacking motivation?

Are you feeling that you are not loved?

 

If you can answer yes to any of the above questions, it is probably a good idea to clear your sacral chakra. If you want to feel in harmony with the universe and have abetter sex life, it is time to clear the sacral chakra!

  5. I’d never considered much of this, so it was an eye-opening read. I do love to incorporate essential oils into my daily life and ylang ylang is one of my favorites when I need to be calm.

  8. This is such a great tip, I am going to start incorporating some of the foods you mentioned like eating more mangoes, peaches and carrots to reduce my back pain to see if it does work.
