I am an evening snacker which is not such a good thing. So, I needed to find a snack that would satisfy my hunger and a snack that would keep the weight off. Hummus was a perfect choice, and its health benefits are endless. Hummus is loaded with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, & high in fiber which helps lower cholesterol. If you’re looking for an alternative to chips & cookies; I highly recommend the switch to hummus.
3 cloves of garlic
Drain the Garbanzo beans and give a little rinse before adding to your Cuisinart . Now, add the juice of 2 lemons and 3 cloves of garlic to the Cuisinart; turn that puppy on and mix. While it is churning, add the olive oil helping to bring the mixture to a smooth consistency. Add a dash of salt & a sprinkle of red pepper flakes. Slice up you favorite veggie’s, and there you go the perfect anytime snack.
