I’ve had so many people come to me with a variety of fitness problems, wondering why they’ve failed to solve them since they’ve religiously adhered to tips from seemingly reliable sources.

But the answer for most is surprisingly simple, although very difficult to discern in all the fluff and bluff of the industry. You might, for example, be wondering how the same principles can be applied to someone looking to shed fat and someone who wants to grow stronger. So, let’s tackle this puzzle once and for all, and take a look at the basic principles of achieving your fitness goals.

Master the art of goal-setting

First off, it’s impossible to work on your desires if they are vague, unrealistic or completely contrary to your state of mind. Then, in accordance with your current health and fitness levels, set yourself or consult an expert to help you in the process of creating a meal plan, a list of groceries you can and like to eat, and an exercise routine you will be excited about and enjoy every time. Then, you can finally focus on the process, and not the goal itself, and enjoy the beauty of living a healthy lifestyle that supports your goals in a seamless, natural manner.

A commonly overlooked aspect of our lives that plays a pivotal role in achieving our goals is also among the most frequent underlying issues of people who reach out for help. So many of them have spent months optimizing their training and diet, without giving a second thought to their quality of sleep, proper hydration, ample rest and frame of mind.

Quality and quantity are both important, due to the overwhelming pollution of our planet. You can enrich your home with greenery, drink purified water, and spend time in nature as much as possible – all of these factors can significantly influence your state of mind and the pace at which you reach your goals.
