For many of us, 2016 is a year we would like to forget, put it in our rearview mirror and NEVER look back! But to make 2017 “Kickass” we need to finish 2016 strong.
Here are five ways you can achieve just that:
Starting today journal every day. By getting into the habit of writing and consciously looking back over your journal, you’re able to track your personal patterns especially the ones you no longer want to repeat in 2017.
- Create a personal value system for yourself. This system will give you structure and purpose by helping you determine what is meaningful and important to you. You can add or choose your own categories.
There are usually four main categories:
- Self-care should be a part of your daily routine; if it isn’t already. For my ladies out there we tend to care for EVERYONE else before we spend even 10 minutes on ourselves. We can’t have a KICKASS 2017 if were tired and run down all the time. Take 30 minutes walk, ride your bike or go to the gym. Trust me you will feel FABULOUS!!!
- Learn the word NO!!! I know we think we can do everything but WE DON’T HAVE TO; TO PROVE OUR VALUE. We can say no and still be seen as a strong, very capable & confident women!
- Start a daily spiritual practice. You could lump this into self-care but I tend to think this area needs a lot more time and thought. When we spend time alone in silence or in prayer we can start to see and feel the inner essence of who we really are. Clarity happens most often in silence.
