With literally hundreds of cleaning products on shelves in department stores, it’s really convenient to buy these products.

But what not a lot of people know is how these chemical-based cleaners affect our body. If you have young children with you, it’s imperative that you read this article because they are more at risk.

According to the US National Center for Health Statistics, 1 in 3 people suffer from asthma, allergies, sinusitis, and bronchitis because of exposure to chemicals from these cleaning products.

And fifty-three percent of these products contain ingredients that affect the lungs! EWG (Environmental Working Group) says that only 7 percent of cleaning products fully disclose what they put inside.

The numbers paint a very alarming story and it does not lie.

Not only are people affected but also the environment because of the waste that’s a byproduct of the manufacturing process.

So how do we protect or limit our exposure to these harmful chemicals?

The best way would be to stop using these products and make our own cleaning products.

Don’t worry it’s easy and the ingredients are easy to find.

Ingredients like baking soda, salt, vinegar, borax, washing soda, unscented liquid soap, lemon, and cornstarch when combined in the right amounts can make green alternative cleaning products.

When you look at some commercially produced cleaners, these also contain ingredients like lemon and baking soda so why not make your own?

That’s the purpose of this infographic – to help get you started in concocting your own cleaning products.

You’ll see how much of what ingredient to put in and where to use it. Great isn’t it?

It saves you money in the long term because you don’t have to pay a premium that manufacturers charge for green cleaners. And you’ll protect your health because you’re not exposed to toxic chemicals.
